There are not many of these useful little cruisers around now. Very solidly built, a very cheap first weekend cruiser. The high prow keeps her very dry in a seaway and there is a large boat feel down below. Simple reefing when shorthanded with a lot of the power coming from the large genoa, extended with an attractive bowsprit.
Motors easily at five knots thanks to a three bladed prop, engine rebuilt in 2017.

This Hunter pilot 27 is a great solid boat for those wishing to go for a comfortable cruise. Boasting a 2017 rig, bow thruster and self tacking jib these comforts make trips a lot less stressful.

October 2025 - update - I took this amazing boat for a spin yesterday - engine started first time and easily achieved 34 knots, despite some light hull fouling, great acceleration too - the steering and fly-by-wire controls felt great!
